2019 RAV4 Redesign

The 2019 Toyota RAV4 has gone through a bit of a makeover since last year’s model. This new model was designed to encompass an adventurous style, to simply highlight the new updates to the engine and chassis. The 2019 RAV4 features a more robust body that fits in more with the SUV style, but with a few Toyota design nods to make it stand out. The body itself is a bit wider, and even lower to the ground, to make it sportier and fun to drive. The front and rear overhangs were shortened a bit, so the vehicle can easily tackle more rugged terrain. The RAV4 also includes several trims with their own unique styles and options.

Performance & Engine Updates for 2019

The RAV4 offers two distinct engines with the 2019 model. The 2.5-liter inline 4-cylinder engine will feature the 8-speed direct shift automatic transmission, which will be included with five of the models. The craftsmen went to work on the engine to help improve the performance and make it more reactive to the driver’s needs. The RAV4 also features a 2.5-liter inline 4-cylinder hybrid engine, which will come paired with the electronically controlled continuously variable transmission, which adds more to the vehicle’s overall fuel efficiency. This engine was retooled to offer a more even mix of exceptional power and enhanced efficiency.

Improved Media & Technology

The Entune® App Suite 3.0 system will be featured in the RAV4 cabin. This 7-inch touchscreen can be expanded to eight inches with a trim level upgrade. This infotainment system offers Apple CarPlay™ and even Amazon Alexa, allowing your home unit to be equipped in your vehicle. The RAV4 will offer plenty of impressive upgrades like a JBL® Audio system, Wi-Fi Hotspots, and even dynamic navigation.

Drivers can also expect to see the TSS-P 2.0, the second generation of the Toyota Safety Sense™ P suite of driver-assistance features. On top of its original systems, this new generation adds Lane Tracing Assist and even the Road Sign Assist. These new systems will add an extra layer of safety and convenience to the experiences on the road.

When is the 2019 Toyota RAV4 Release Date?
