About Calvert Brewing Company

Calvert Brewing Company is one of the largest and most well-known craft breweries in Maryland. They’ve participated and have won several beer competitions, including local, national, and even international competitions.

They brew their beer at their farm. Using locally grown ingredients, fresh hops and malt, and some unique flavors, they craft some amazing beer and continuously challenge themselves each brewing session to come up with the next big flavor.

They have an expansive facility and they have some of the latest in brewing equipment to produce amazing and flavorful beers. This equipment also allows them to brew quickly and more efficiently, even while using less grain.

The Beer List

Calvert Brewing offers several notable beers that they have at their taproom which you can sample. If you’re an IPA lover, you may want to sample the Good Company Pale Ale (2016 Raise a Class International Beer Competition Gold Winner), which offers notes of citrus, dry earthy flavors, and a crisp finish.

The Calvert Cream Ale (Gold Medal in 2016 Maryland Craft Beer Competition) started out as a specialty brew, but demand for it grew so much that they added it to the roster full time! This brew provides a flavorful infusion of lemon and orange peel that offers a refreshing finish.

The Crazy Daisy Hefeweizen is a zesty and refreshing witbier, with subtle notes of banana, apricot, and pear, with a hint of melon in each finish.

Lovers of dark beer will want to sample the Flapjack Maple Milk Stout. This creamy stout has an extra roasted flavor with a subtle sweetness from the Vermont maple syrup. It’s smooth, has great balance, and lingers on the tongue long after the glass is empty!
